We are in search of an enthusiastic, dedicated and passionate Assistant Director (2IC) for our beautiful Seaford House Sanctuary of Early Learning.

Seaford House Sanctuary of Early Learning is the newest centre in a family of privately owned Long Day Care facilities. With our group of three services under the same providers, we offer a very personal approach to your working environment.

Our 108-place centre is state of the art, well-resourced and offers a homestead-like environment. We are lucky to have wonderful outdoor play spaces for our children, our very own art studio, a centre bus which enables us to facilitate our Beach Kinder program and other excursions, a thriving herb and vegetable garden, and a wonderful team of passionate educators.

At Seaford House we aim to create safe, loving, and homelike spaces for children enabling their exploration of identity and belonging. We have an enthusiastic team of skilled Early Years educators who are responsive to the rights and needs of all children. We pride ourselves on building trusting relationships with each child and their family to ensure their sense of security, confidence, and inclusion.

Educator wellbeing is a high priority for us and is reflected through our wellbeing program that we are continually developing. Our staff have unlimited access to our wellness and fitness space, are able to grab a bite to eat from our fully-stocked staff kitchen, and have ample space to plan, study, conduct meetings with families, or simply relax in our adults-only retreat on our second floor. We have a board room onsite that is used for staff meetings and functions, support from our Educational Leader is available around the clock, and our staff are offered extensive Professional Development opportunities throughout the year.

About the Role:

- You will be required to work closely with the ManagingDirector on day to day operations, and step up to cover that role in their absence.
- You will need to create positive, professional, and genuine relationships with team members, children, and their families.
- You will demonstrate that you are warm, compassionate, and gentle with your communication and have strong time management, organisational, written, and verbal skills.
- You will provide support to both families and educators to get the most out of our centre.
- You will have a mature and professional approach.
- We require you to focus on quality improvement, and support our teams to understand and follow Seaford House's policies and procedures.
- You will display high levels of initiative and motivation whilst being professional, proactive and flexible.

Essential Criteria:

- Diploma in Children services or Early Childhood Teaching Degree (ACECQA Approved)
- Employee Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid Qualifications, including CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Proactive with a 'can-do' attitude
- Passionate about assisting in the educational development of children
- Previous experience in a leadership role
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework and the National Quality Standards
- Experience and understanding of CCS, QikKids and StoryPark is highly favourable but not necessary.
