About the roleTo effectively provide an efficient and accurate administrative service through the timely provision of medical transcription and typing services, along with a range of valuable support duties as directed as part of the administration team within Thoracic Medicine Services inclusive of Respiratory Investigations Unit (RIU) and the Sleep Disorder Centre (SDC).
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values: Fulfil the responsibilities of this rolein accordance with Queensland Health's core values, as outlined above.
Provide medical typing and transcription support to the staff specialist, using dictation systems.
Make corrections and/or alterations to typed correspondence as required and assist with other typing and administrative support functions as required.
Communicate with medical and other staff to ensure delivery of the dictated transcripts within prescribed time requirements.
Complete general administration duties including filing, photocopying, data entry, chart requests, and confirming clinic appointments.
To assist with the minute taking of various meetings within the Program.
