Hours: Up to 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday
This casual Assets Accountant role is within the Assets Accounting team. You will deliver high-quality asset and financial accounting services, support month-end and year-end close-offs, prepare annual financial statements, maintain asset registers, provide technical accounting advice, and contribute to improvement initiatives across the finance function.
Responsibilities
Ensure the integrity of asset balances and SAP Asset and Lease Registers
Support month-end and year-end close-off procedures
Prepare annual financial statements and provide timely financial analysis
Provide technical accounting guidance and compliance reporting for internal and external stakeholders
Contribute to financial projects and system/process improvements
Collaborate with across-department teams to enable efficient service delivery
Qualifications
Degree in accounting or business
CA/CPA accreditation and substantial relevant experience
Strong working knowledge of SAP (or similar systems), especially asset management modules
Solid understanding of applicable accounting standards and legislation
Analytical mindset with attention to detail
Ability to manage priorities, plus excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
