Remuneration: HEW 6, $63.08 per hour (loaded casual rate)
Hours: Up to 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday
This casual Assets Accountant role is within the Assets Accounting team. You will deliver high-quality asset and financial accounting services, support month-end and year-end close-offs, prepare annual financial statements, maintain asset registers, provide technical accounting advice, and contribute to improvement initiatives across the finance function.
Responsibilities- Ensure the integrity of asset balances and SAP Asset and Lease Registers
- Support month-end and year-end close-off procedures
- Prepare annual financial statements and provide timely financial analysis
- Provide technical accounting guidance and compliance reporting for internal and external stakeholders
- Contribute to financial projects and system/process improvements
- Collaborate with across-department teams to enable efficient service delivery
- Degree in accounting or business
- CA/CPA accreditation and substantial relevant experience
- Strong working knowledge of SAP (or similar systems), especially asset management modules
- Solid understanding of applicable accounting standards and legislation
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Ability to manage priorities, plus excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
