Reporting to the National WHSE Manager, this role will be responsible for leading the Regional WHSE function predominantly across multiple sites in Melbourne & across 2 x plants in South Australia.
You will drive a high-performance culture that optimises operational efficiency and sustainability. This hands-on role will provide practical WHSE advice and support to our people whilst continually driving WHSE in a positive direction through the implementation of robust Management plans.
**Key Accountabilities**:
- Coach and Mentor Operational line leaders in WHSE.
- Facilitate activities which drive or embed WHSE initiatives.
- Support site management teams to implement CSR key risk programs, system standards and hazard standards
- Champion agreed CSR initiatives e.g., Permit to work, HIRAC, risk management & risk reduction plans
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement through the implementation of efficient processes and systems
- Establish and maintain culture ensuring compliance in accordance with WHSE standards and responsibilities
- Partner with site management teams to investigate incidents and identify root cause and drive prompt close out of agreed actions
- Assess performance and use insights to identify gaps and prioritise actions to comply with legislation and perform to CSR WHSE standards
- Lead the WHSE Business Partner to achieve specific targets and key performance measures
**About You**:
You will have experience in engaging with a broad range of stakeholders and strive to advance the WHSE strategy through enabling a unified culture, including:
- Excellent Communicator at all levels.
- Positive thinker who wants to be part of working together for solutions rather than focussing on the problem.
- Demonstrated background in the achievement of Health Safety and Environment objectives, ideally within a similar environment (Manufacturing, warehousing, supply chain or similar)
- Proven leadership capabilities with well-developed team leadership skills
- Able to engage and work with multiple stakeholders at various levels
- Able to interpret standards and help others through continuous improvement
- Demonstrated ability to inform strategy, deliver systems and work to standards
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
