The National WHSE Coordinator plays a crucial role in leading the development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of WHSE policies, procedures, and programs to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
This position is responsible for driving initiatives aimed at reducing incidents, injuries, and environmental impact, while providing strategic direction and guidance to regional WHSE teams.
Key Responsibilities- Developing, implementing, and evaluating WHSE policies, procedures, and programs
- Providing strategic direction and guidance to regional WHSE teams
- Conducting thorough audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement control measures
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to drive initiatives aimed at reducing incidents and environmental impact
- Serving as the primary point of contact for WHSE-related inquiries and escalations
- Monitoring WHSE performance metrics and key performance indicators
- Investigating WHSE incidents and near misses
- Developing and delivering comprehensive WHSE training and awareness programs
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, or related field
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in WHSE management
- Strong expertise in WHSE regulations, standards, and best practices
- Exceptional leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in heavy equipment manufacturing or similar industry
