**General Information**
Peninsula Home Hospice is a not-for-profit community palliative care organisation that provides
specialist health care and practical support in the home to people living with a life limiting illness and
their families and friends. Peninsula Home Hospice provides service to people on the Mornington
Peninsula, Frankston City and the City of Kingston (up to the Mordialloc Creek).

**_Position Objective _**
The General Manager, Corporate Services is responsible for providing strategic direction and
strategic business planning, business development and growth, sourcing opportunities for
diversification of funding and income streams, building and maintaining external partnerships and
networking and fundraising activities for business growth and development.
In conjunction with the, the General Manager will oversee the day-to-day
business operations and budgets and provide guidance and leadership to the corporate services

teams. The General Manager, Corporate Services, will review business systems and processes for
efficiencies and work to ensure resources and funding are utilised effectively.
**_Key Selection Criteria: Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

- Post graduate qualification in business.
- Extensive understanding of, and experience in navigating complex
systems; public health policy, legislative ulatory compliance,
and corporate governance;
- Highly developed analytical skills and commitment to strategic and
systems thinking;
- Demonstrated commitment to values-based and facilitative style of
management that encourages trust, individual initiative and shared
teamwork;
- Demonstrated experience and competency in contributing to
strategic planning of services and resources in a community service
setting;
- Highly developed leadership & management skills and experience;
- Up to date knowledge of contemporary employment laws and
relevant industrial instruments;
- Experience in strategic planning for business growth and
development, including diversification of funding streams;
- Ability to provide advocacy for funding and other stakeholder
collaboration in a community-services setting;
- Highly developed networking, partnering and stakeholder
management skills;
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence, advocate
and gain buy-in;
- Proficiency in the assessment and management of operational risk
including internal controls over financial transaction cycles and
budget approvals;
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development;
- Creating strategic brand awareness and effective fundraising
campaigns;
- Familiarity and knowledge of contemporary business systems,
policies and processes for sound financial and human resource
management.
