Role Purpose and Scope

As the General Manager Corporate Services, you will be a strategic and accomplished leader with a strong focus on governance, financial stewardship, technology development and organisational performance. Your leadership will guide diverse corporate functions, ensuring robust systems, compliance and resources to support Council operations. You will enable the organisation to deliver strong outcomes for the community through service excellence and collaboration.

  • Track record of driving innovation and achieving high-performance outcomes across strategic and business planning, risk and project management, people leadership, technology, and customer service
  • Strategic direction and informed financial advice
  • Strategic and critical thinking to analyse complex issues
  • Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience in organisational change and building a positive culture
  • Understanding of legislative frameworks and ability to apply them effectively
  • Experience in developing organisational strategy and policy
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to engage and influence at all levels

Extensive experience at a senior level in governance principles and government administration is relevant to this position. Experience in the Victorian local or state government sector is highly regarded.
