Lead Software Craftsman
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Software Craftsman to drive best practices across the team, for all disciplines.
The successful candidate will identify risks and communicate them to relevant stakeholders, asking the right questions to move a project forward.
Responsibilities:
Own the development of large-scale projects.
Develop and promote a rigorous and efficient engineering process.
Define specifications and assess potential risks.
Work to reduce complexity and enhance overall system performance.
Take on technical lead responsibilities to drive initiatives to completion.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new technologies.
Represent the team as a subject matter expert with cross-team credibility.
Mentor and develop junior engineers in a structured and systematic manner.
Location: This role can be based remotely in the EMEA region.
Requirements:
Establish and maintain high-quality technical standards by designing architectural approaches that support business objectives.
Prioritize soft skills and demonstrate passion, enterprising spirit, thoughtfulness, and self-motivation.
Demonstrate an exceptional academic track record from both high school and university.
Hold an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field, or possess a compelling narrative about your alternative path.
Display drive and a track record of exceeding expectations.
Be well-organised, self-starting, and able to deliver results within schedule.
Exhibit competency in researching new technology or approaches and tastefully integrating changes and modern approaches into technical projects.
Provide comprehensive and insightful code reviews on items of any size within the project.
Demonstrate an eye for accessibility and performance.
possess professional written and spoken English skills.
Have experience with Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred).
