Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.

About the role
Working within assigned priority areas, the Judicial Education Lead designs, develops and delivers high quality educational content for Victorian judicial officers in a range of formats and mediums.
They apply sophisticated legal and sociolegal research and communication skills to ensure content is tailored, accurate, effective, and polished.
Drawing on an understanding of adult learning principles, particularly in their application for expert audiences, the Lead understands the context for judicial education and applies this to the identification and selection of relevant expertise, as well as the development of learning outcomes and educational material.
They are also committed to continuous improvement through effective evaluation techniques.
With the judicial audience always front of mind, the Judicial Education Lead collaborates across the organisation and works with judicial steering committees and other external stakeholders to plan, manage and execute the delivery of high quality education events and resources to agreed timelines.
This role is fixed term until November 2026.
About you
* You have a background in the law or legal practice, education and/or the courts environment.
* You have advanced research and written communication skills, with demonstrated expertise in writing for expert audiences.
* A skilled communicator, you have the proven ability to build effective professional relationships and influence others.
* You are highly collaborative and work best in a small professional team (where multiple people may have input on a project or program), as well as being self-driven and someone who works well autonomously.
You have high standards and take pride in your work, as well as being organised, curious, resourceful, and details focused.
* Drawing on an understanding of adult learning principles, you are able to work with different subject matter and subject matter experts to design educational content suitable for the desired learning outcomes.
* You understand the challenges facing the Victorian judiciary and are engaged with developments in the law, skills, social context and contemporary issues relevant to courts and tribunals.
You have an awareness of and interest in Victoria's First Peoples and impacting issues in relation to contact with the Victorian Courts Group and the broader justice system.
* With a reputation for research, polished writing and advanced stakeholder management skills, and an authentic interest in continuous learning and the important role of judicial education, you are perfectly suited to join the Judicial College of Victoria.
