At Judicial Commission Victoria, we provide corporate services to support the performance of judicial, quasi-judicial, and administrative functions.
We enable the Courts Group to deliver on strategic priorities while pursuing interconnected opportunities that drive broader benefits.
The Judicial Commission investigates complaints about judicial officers or non-judicial VCAT members. We provide an accessible and transparent complaint process, maintaining public confidence in the Victorian courts.
This independent body receives administrative support from our organization and seeks to promote public confidence in the courts and VCAT by defining standards expected of judicial officers.
About the Role

The Complaints Support Officer provides high-quality administrative support for complaint functions carried out by the Legal and Complaints team at the Commission.
This role works closely with investigating lawyers assisting with administrative duties associated with complaint investigation and supports the Complaints Engagement and Systems Coordinator to administratively manage enquiries and complaints.
Accurate complaint information, education, and assistance are provided to external stakeholders, and referrals to other agencies are facilitated when appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide complaint liaison and high-quality confidential administrative support
- Assist with administrative duties associated with complaint investigation
- Support the Complaints Engagement and Systems Coordinator
- Maintain the complaints management system
About You
You will bring:
- Experience in a complaint handling or regulatory environment (desired)
- Familiarity with the Victorian court and tribunal system (highly regarded)
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage with diverse stakeholders
- High attention to detail and methodical approach to administrative tasks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
