Key responsibilities of a Judicial Officer include presiding over the Magistrates' Court and Children's Court, handling a range of matters such as family violence, criminal law, and children's proceedings.

The ideal candidate will possess substantial legal experience, demonstrating high integrity, sound judgement, interpersonal skills, communication skills, and the ability to conduct hearings effectively.

Practitioners with experience in family violence, criminal law, and/or Children's Court proceedings are highly encouraged to apply for this esteemed position.

Following appointment, judicial officers may be assigned to various Courts throughout Victoria, with a requirement to serve at a regional Court for at least two years.
