Join BallyCara as a Communications and Engagement Officer
Are you ready to bring your energy, enthusiasm, and people skills to a role that makes a real difference? BallyCara is looking for a Communications and Engagement Officer to join our welcoming and dynamic community.
Reporting to the Communications and Event Coordinator, this is a full-time role and is perfect for someone who enjoys variety in their day, has a knack for connecting with people, and is eager to contribute to a vibrant organsation.
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Support communications, events, and marketing: Help ensure everything runs smoothly and deliver clear, consistent messages to clients and residents.
- Assist with administrative tasks: Provide essential support to keep operations across BallyCara efficient and organised.
- Connect with residents and the community: Build meaningful relationships with residents and actively participate in community activities.
- Represent BallyCara at events: Attend expos and events to share our mission and values with the wider community.
- Be a friendly voice for BallyCara: Answer phone calls and assist with enquiries as needed

**Skills and Experiences**:
What we're looking for
- Friendly and Professional: A positive attitude with excellent communication skills.
- Experience: While previous experience in marketing, communications, or event planning is ideal, it's not essential. Experience in customer service or administration is preferred.
- Proactive and Supportive: Willingness to step in and help across different areas, including answering phones when needed.
- Strong Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with residents, visitors, and team members.
- Customer Service Focus: A proven ability to deliver friendly and professional service in person and over the phone.
- Organised and Detail-Oriented: Capable of multitasking, managing time effectively, and ensuring accuracy in administrative tasks.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable using technology.
- Team Player: A collaborative mindset to work seamlessly with different teams and support various projects.
- Flexible and Adaptable: Able to manage changing priorities and handle different tasks with ease.
- Interpersonal Skills: Warm, approachable, and skilled at building positive relationships with residents and stakeholders.
- Problem-Solver: Quick-thinking and resourceful in addressing customer inquiries and resolving challenges.
- Knowledge: Aged Care or Community Services beneficial but not required.
- Requirements: Ability to obtain a police check through the BallyCara recruitment process and meet COVID vaccination recommendations.
