**About the role -**
Our newly created role of HR Business Partner (Melbourne based) will have the experience and confidence to partner with leaders right across the business to deliver on key HR objectives and initiatives. The role will report to our Head of HR based in Brisbane.
You will be responsible for:
**HR Service Delivery**:
- Partner with managers and leaders to identify and address critical organisational and people issues to minimise risk and maximise employee experience and culture.
- Proactively build and maintain relationships with leaders and gain an understanding of their business and human resource needs.
- Building capability of leaders to inspire and support staff to achieve their goals and development plans.
- Implement annual and ad-hoc HR processes and initiatives as required.
- Provide advice and assistance to managers on performance improvement and disciplinary process and employment relations matters.
- Develop, revise and advise on HR policies and procedures.
- Identify and manage potential hazards and risks, including people related risks in conjunction with the Head of HR and people leaders to mitigate accordingly.
- Conduct bi-annual REM and performance reviews
- Support training and development initiatives across all levels of the business units
**HR Strategy and Planning**:
- Participate, develop and implement people programs across the People and Culture roadmap.
- Lead transformational change projects in line with the People and Culture roadmap. Assist with planning and implementing organisational change.
- Collaboration across People and Culture team for joint process, policy and projects.
This will be a stand alone HR Business Partner Position based in Melbourne as part of a wider People and Culture team in NSW and QLD.
**Skills & experiences you'll bring to the team**:
- 5-7 years demonstrated experience as an HR generalist with relevant tertiary qualifications.
- Demonstrated experience in key operational areas such as Performance Management, Employee Relations, Organisational Development, Remuneration and Benefits and Talent Management.
- Strong relationship and stakeholder management skills.
- Sound critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple work streams and prioritise effectively.
- Ability to anticipate and deal with issues proactively and take ownership of agreed activities.
- Knowledge of employment law in AU and NZ is advantageous.
- Exposure to human centred design or design thinking is desirable.
- Facilitation and presentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Flexibility to travel within Australia and New Zealand as required
- High level communication skills, with the ability to negotiate with and influence key stakeholders
- Ability to drive key projects across our People and Culture roadmap including areas such as Employer of Choice, Diversity & Inclusion, etc
- Strategic thinking and analytical skills are an advantage.
