Health and Safety Specialist Role
We are seeking a skilled health and safety professional to shape and deliver our health, safety, and wellbeing strategy.
About the Position
This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned health and safety expert to drive a culture where people feel safe, supported, and empowered.
You will be a trusted partner across the organization - coaching leaders, embedding best-practice systems, and driving business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Developing and implementing safe work procedures and compliance frameworks.
Designing and delivering engaging safety and wellbeing training programs.
Monitoring and investigating safety incidents, coaching managers on corrective actions.
Coordinating proactive health and wellbeing initiatives, return-to-work programs, and claims management.
Supporting voluntary safety roles (e.g., Emergency Wardens, First Aid Officers, HSRs).
Leading communications, audits, and wellbeing programs that enhance both physical and mental health.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Experience in office-based and/or site-based safety environments (property, housing, maintenance, local government or similar).
Strong skills in investigations, risk management, and safety systems.
Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building ability.
Experience in wellbeing and return-to-work programs.
A passion for embedding safety and wellbeing into workplace culture.
