**Responsibilities**
- **Provide Literacy Learning Support**
- Deliver in class and small-group literacy support for secondary students to enhance reading comprehension, writing proficiency, and language development.
- Adapt support strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students, fostering a love for literacy in alignment with Steiner education principles.
- **Collaborate with Educators**
- Work closely with teachers to identify students requiring literacy intervention and develop strategies to integrate literacy support into the broader curriculum.
- **Monitor and Assess Student Progress**
- Conduct formative and summative assessments to track student progress in literacy development.
- Provide constructive feedback and implement strategies to support ongoing student improvement.
- **Individualised Student Support**
- Identify and address specific literacy challenges, tailoring interventions to support students with varying learning needs, including those with additional learning requirements.
- Develop engaging and accessible literacy resources to assist student learning.
- **Engage with Parents and the School Community**
- Maintain open and positive communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and literacy development.
- Offer guidance to parents on strategies to support literacy learning at home.
- **Professional Development**
- Participate in ongoing professional learning to stay informed about best practices in literacy education, IBDP requirements, and Steiner education methodologies.
- Engage with the school's professional learning community to share insights and develop innovative literacy support programs.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- A qualification in Education, Literacy Support, Special Education, or a related field.
- Experience in literacy intervention, learning support, or English language development at the secondary school level.
- An understanding of or willingness to engage with IBDP and Steiner education pedagogies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively support students, teachers, and parents.
- A passion for fostering literacy skills and confidence in learners of all abilities.
