**Trainer & Assessor - Underground Coal**

**The opportunity**

Due to company growth; we have a new opportunity for an experienced Underground Coal Trainer & Assessor to join our team. Initially you will be required for a 6 month contract period however there may be potential for this to be extended. This role supports our current Trainer & Assessor on a back to back roster arrangement. We are seeking someone who has extensive experience working in the underground coal sector holds a valid and current QLD certification in Training & Assessment.

**Details of the role**
- Coordinate and execute training and assessment in accordance with sites specific training plan.
- Maintain training records to ensure accuracy, currency and confidentiality.
- Undertake field observations for performance of personnel operating procedures
- Adhere and promote a safe work environment
- Helping support new to industry personnel on their path to being an experienced underground miner.
- Provide support for delivering inductions as required for operational requirements
- Support personnel currently completing apprenticeships and traineeships at site

**What you will need**:

- Current Cert IV Training & Assessment. Appointment as site trainer and assessor on coal mines will be also considered as suitable qualifications.
- Worked within underground setting ideally as a miner driver operator or supervisor with proven experience
- An ability to engage and develop relationships across all levels of the organisation and with client stakeholders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of Coal Mining legislation and industry standards
- QLD Coal Board Medical & S11 or willing to obtain
