Job Overview
The Director of Logistics and Patient Flow plays a crucial role in coordinating and optimizing daily hospital operations. Reporting directly to the Vice-President of Clinical Logistics, this individual works closely with other members of the executive management team to support the organization's mission and strategic directions.
Responsibilities
Coordinating and optimizing daily hospital operations
Working closely with other members of the executive management team
Serving as the Network's representative to various community partners
Ensuring the functionality of hospital services through an integrated and interdisciplinary approach
Providing a structured framework for all activities related to patient flow and logistics
Requirements
Undergraduate degree in health, administration or management
Master's degree (in business administration, public administration or health services management) considered an asset
Eight to ten years of professional experience relevant to the position and/or in health services management
Excellent knowledge of the hospital system, its administration and its legal framework
Ability to rally and mobilize teams around a common vision in a complex, multidisciplinary environment
Good knowledge of change management and continuous improvement within a context of organizational transformation
Excellent problem-solving skills
Experience in planning, coordinating and supervising hospital operations
Proven versatility, adaptability and responsiveness
Dynamic and innovative approach
Ability to generate support and commitment
Ability to make decisions under pressure and outside field of expertise
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Exceptional communication skills (oral and written)
Ability to work independently and as a team member
Physical ability to perform assigned duties
Good previous work history (performance and attendance)
Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the organization's management philosophy and organizational values
