Job Overview

The Director of Logistics and Patient Flow plays a crucial role in coordinating and optimizing daily hospital operations. Reporting directly to the Vice-President of Clinical Logistics, this individual works closely with other members of the executive management team to support the organization's mission and strategic directions.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and optimizing daily hospital operations
  • Working closely with other members of the executive management team
  • Serving as the Network's representative to various community partners
  • Ensuring the functionality of hospital services through an integrated and interdisciplinary approach
  • Providing a structured framework for all activities related to patient flow and logistics

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in health, administration or management
  • Master's degree (in business administration, public administration or health services management) considered an asset
  • Eight to ten years of professional experience relevant to the position and/or in health services management
  • Excellent knowledge of the hospital system, its administration and its legal framework
  • Ability to rally and mobilize teams around a common vision in a complex, multidisciplinary environment
  • Good knowledge of change management and continuous improvement within a context of organizational transformation
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Experience in planning, coordinating and supervising hospital operations
  • Proven versatility, adaptability and responsiveness
  • Dynamic and innovative approach
  • Ability to generate support and commitment
  • Ability to make decisions under pressure and outside field of expertise
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Exceptional communication skills (oral and written)
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Physical ability to perform assigned duties
  • Good previous work history (performance and attendance)
  • Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the organization's management philosophy and organizational values
