Product Lifecycle Engineering Leadership Opportunity

Job Description:
We are seeking a Product Lifecycle Engineering (PLE) leader to drive the development and maintenance of our implantable hearing solutions. The successful candidate will have a strong background in engineering and leadership, with experience in managing cross-functional teams.
The PLE leader will be responsible for sustaining Cochlear as the global leader in implantable hearing solutions. This includes managing PLE sustaining projects in collaboration with stakeholders across the organization, including Research & Development, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Process, Procurement, and Product Management.
The role will also involve leading and managing a team of engineers to achieve business objectives and priorities. This includes championing the continual development of functional capabilities within the team, including Electronics, Mechanical, and Project Management.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of engineers to sustain Cochlear's position as the global leader in implantable hearing solutions
Manage PLE sustaining projects in collaboration with stakeholders across the organization
Champion the continual development of functional capabilities within the team
Develop and maintain strong knowledge of Cochlear's products, including implants, sound processors, software, accessories, and services
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure PLE developments integrate with other functions and projects
Required Skills:
Tertiary qualifications – minimum bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
10+ years post-qualification experience in an R&D environment
Experience leading a diverse team of engineers
Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop teams
Effective communication skills in various settings
