The role will also manage PLE sustaining projects in collaboration with stakeholders across the organization, including Research & Development, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Process, Procurement, and Product Management.This is a permanent full-time role based at Cochlear's Global Headquarters in Macquarie University.Your responsibilities will include...
Lead and manage a team of Engineers and Project ManagersChampion the continual development of functional capabilities within the team, including Electronics, Mechanical, and Project ManagementManage stakeholders across the business to ensure prioritization and project alignmentManage allocation of people to projects to achieve PLE deliverables and meet business prioritiesGuide and mentor team members during project executionAttract, develop, and retain top talent to deliver Cochlear's current and future objectivesManage project budgets and resources aligned with priorities and stakeholder requirementsEstablish and maintain processes within the PLE domainIdentify and implement process improvements and new tools for efficient deliveryDevelop and maintain strong knowledge of Cochlear's products including implants, sound processors, software, accessories, and servicesCollaborate cross-functionally to ensure PLE developments integrate with other functions and projectsAbout You: Required Skills Tertiary qualifications – minimum bachelor's degree in engineering or related field10+ years post-qualification experience in an R&D environmentExperience leading a diverse team of engineersProven ability to lead, coach, and develop teamsEffective communication skills in various settingsDesired Skills 5+ years team leadership experienceStrong multi-disciplinary engineering knowledge: Mechanical, Electronics, Systems, and Project ManagementExperience in highly regulated industries such as medical devices or defenseDevelopmental Value of the Role Opportunity to enhance leadership and management skillsWork across organizational boundariesDevelop world-leading medical devices using cutting-edge technologiesInfluence leadership within Cochlear's R&D departmentsIf you believe you have the skills and experience to succeed in this role and are ready for new challenges, please start your application by clicking the apply button below.CochlearCareersHow We Recognize Your Contribution At Cochlear, we value diverse contributions, perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds.
