The YMCA is the fastest growing OSHC provider in the South East with over 50+ services, which in turn provides our staff with the ability to grow and move through the company as their careers head to the next level.
We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Coordinator to join our team at YMCA Arundel Outside School Hours Care (OSHC).
This is a permanent, part-time position.
Your working hours per week will be 34.5 hours during school term and 38 hours during vacation care.
In this position, you will assist the Service Coordinator with the day-to-day running of the service and management of a team of Educators.
You will receive support from a dedicated management team, including the Coordinator, Senior Coordinator, Area Coordinator, Regional Manager, and OSHC Manager.

YMCA Arundel OSHC is located at Arundel State School and offers a wide range of fun, stimulating, and appropriate programs that reflect real-world experiences and home settings.
This encourages community among children, facilitates leadership development, and supports social skills in a caring environment.
The service is licensed for 135 children and operates from 6.30 am to 8.55 am and 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm Monday to Friday during school terms, with onsite Vacation Care from 6.30 am to 6.00 pm during school holidays.
Programs are aligned with the YMCA Mission—to provide opportunities for children to grow in body, mind, and spirit—guided by our values of Honesty, Caring, Respect, and Responsibility.
We integrate these with the National Quality Framework 'My Time Our Place' and Arundel State School's educational principles to develop engaging, appropriate, and fun activities.
As an OSHC Assistant Coordinator, you will assist with:
Developing quality programs;
Managing daily program operations;
Supporting staff management alongside the Coordinator;
Ensuring policy compliance;
Handling administrative tasks;
Collaborating with families and the school community.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
Completed (or near completion) of relevant Childcare or Teaching qualifications (minimum Diploma in Children's Services);
Experience in programming and a passion for quality childcare;
Experience with administration and documentation in an OSHC setting;
Excellent customer service skills;
Strong verbal and written communication skills;
First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain;
Blue Card or willingness to obtain;
NQF knowledge is advantageous.
