Join to apply for the Assistant Coordinator - Wavell Heights role at YMCA Queensland1 day ago Be among the first 25 applicantsJoin to apply for the Assistant Coordinator - Wavell Heights role at YMCA QueenslandThe Y Queensland stands with all people, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, or belief.We are currently seeking a permanent part-time Assistant Coordinator to join our YMCA Wavell Heights Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Service.This role offers 34.5 hours per week during school terms and up to 38 hours per week during vacation care.About The RoleAs the Assistant Coordinator, you will support the Service Coordinator in the day-to-day operation of the service and the leadership of a team of Educators.
You'll be guided by a strong management team, including your Coordinator, Senior Coordinator, Area Coordinator, Regional Manager, and the OSHC Manager.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with the development and delivery of engaging programsSupport daily service operationsHelp manage staffing and team collaborationEnsure compliance with policies and regulationsAssist with administration and documentationBuild strong, positive relationships with families and the school communityAbout YouCompleted (or currently studying) a Diploma of Children's Services or relevant qualification in Childcare or TeachingExperience assisting with programming and a passion for quality childcareStrong administration and documentation skills in an OSHC settingExcellent communication and customer service skillsCurrent First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)Current Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)Knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF) would be advantageousAbout The ServiceYMCA OSHC operates across 50+ school sites in South East Queensland, providing before school, after school, and vacation care.
