**About the role**

As Principal - HSE Capability Frameworks you'll develop, implement, and continuously improve Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) competency frameworks across Origin.

You will ensure that employees at all levels possess the necessary HSE knowledge, skills, and behaviours to perform their roles safely and effectively and by collaborating with key stakeholders, you'll establish clear standards for HSE capability development, support training and development initiatives, and ensure that the organisation's workforce is equipped to meet regulatory and industry HSE standards.

**Key responsibilities**
- **Design and Implement Enterprise-Wide HSE Capability Frameworks**: Design and implement HSE capability frameworks that define the required knowledge, skills, and behaviours for various roles across the Origin, ensuring standardisation and consistency while aligning with organisational and regulatory needs. Identify and implement change initiatives to enhance organisational performance and align with the change management strategy.
- **Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams**: Work closely with business units, P&C, and HSE to ensure competency frameworks meet industry regulations and standards. Partner with Training and Competency Assessor teams to conduct training needs assessments and develop programs addressing identified competency gaps.
- **Training Program Management**: Own and manage a panel of service providers to deliver effective HSE training, including in-person and e-learning formats. Develop a review schedule to regularly evaluate and update induction and competency programs and training based on feedback and industry best practices.

**What will you bring?**
- Relevant tertiary qualifications coupled with extensive experience managing HSE training and capability requirements.
- Excellent knowledge of applicable HSE legislation is required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with HSE leaders, HR teams, and business unit managers to ensure frameworks meet organisational needs.
- Ability to lead initiatives and influence change, driving the adoption of HSE competency frameworks and promoting a culture of continuous improvement in safety.
- Financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and analysing risk Ability to provide constructive feedback.
