Clinical Nurse Consultant

The Team :
Peacock Centre, opened in 2023, provides warm, welcoming, and trauma-informed care to individuals experiencing mental health relapse or distress.
The Integration Hub collaborates with peer-led services at Peacock Centre, including the Safe Haven and the Recovery College, as well as the acute treatment unit of Peacock House and other service providers in southern Tasmania.
The Role :
The Clinical Nurse Consultant – Integration Hub, part of a multidisciplinary team, will deliver high-quality mental health services aligned with Mental Health Services principles, National Mental Health Standards, agency policies, legal requirements, and professional competencies.
Responsibilities include:
Overseeing daily service operations, focusing on optimizing outcomes for attendees, families, carers, and friends.
Providing effective supervision and support to Peer Workers within the Integration Hub.
Leading and managing change to support service development and compliance with the Operational Service Model.
You will need to :
Contribute to the culture, leadership, and daily management of the Integration Hub to ensure comprehensive access to services that promote recovery, independence, and overall health.
Support and educate Peer Workers, including providing debriefing opportunities.
Support consumers and their families/friends as leaders of their own care.

Details of appointment :
This is a permanent full-time, day shift position, working 76 hours per fortnight, starting 27 January 2026.
Hours are negotiable with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that the selection process may be used for up to twelve months to fill similar vacancies.
Salary :
$114,851 to $121,886 per annum, plus a 12% superannuation contribution.
Salary range aligned with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
