Our opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Community Development Manager to join our Sydney team. The Community Development Manager is responsible for planning and delivering a broad range of community development initiatives within Mirvac's communities throughout New South Wales. The initial focus will be an existing redevelopment opportunity with a view to expanding the role to include further projects.
**Your responsibilities are but are not limited to**:
Coordinate the development and delivery of programs, projects, activities and events to improve outcomes for the community in consultation with key stakeholders.
Facilitate opportunities for community members to actively participate in generating ideas, planning and delivering programs, projects and services that positively affect the community and respond to community needs
Facilitate the establishment of new relationships, community groups and relevant forums and networks to promote information and resource sharing.
Develop strong and positive relationships with residents, community groups, community service organisations, local government and the project team to achieve community and project objectives.
Enable and encourage community utilisation of facilities and programs including preparation of communications and collateral with information for the community and stakeholders.
Act as a key project contact point for stakeholders, community members, community group representatives, and as a conduit between the community and the Mirvac team.
Coordinate intra-community communications, including a content plan for social media platform and newsletter.
Work cooperatively with other Mirvac-engaged collaborators, such as social enterprises and placemaking groups, to ensure complementary implementation of community development programming.
Facilitate partnerships and broker connections both within the projects and surrounding communities to integrate the projects within a local area network.
Monitor performance against expected outcomes ensuring all activity occurs in alignment with
Mirvac's sustainability strategy delivering on required targets and objectives.
Identify and work with the broader team to manage key risks relative to the successful engagement of Mirvac communities.
Support the development of initiatives that encourage community cultivation and create a vibrant and sustainable community that is set up to thrive beyond our involvement.
Develop authentic communication strategies and content to support sustainability and community engagement efforts.
Your point of difference
You will have experience in community development planning and delivery or stakeholder relationships, qualifications in Community Development or relevant discipline and experience working with and establishing meaningful connections between residents from diverse cultural communities
You will have demonstrated acumen and validated experience in community event management from concept through to promotion and delivery and the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplined integrated development business leveraging relationships across all departments including but not limited to Development, Sales & Marketing and Construction.
To be successful you will have a Current Drivers Licence and access to a personal vehicle as well as the capacity to work largely independently and to set priorities, plan/organise work and meet deadlines, and demonstrated experience in successfully managing budgets
