Fabrication Equipment Technician

**Position Description**

The Equipment Service department for the Pryda Australia business is centered around providing a service offer that enables our Frame and Truss customers to maximize their output through the service of both new and existing equipment that ensures machine reliability and uptime. The Fabrication Equipment Technician (FET) role is responsible for delivering both proactive and reactive works allowing our clients to maintain a high level of manufacturing excellence. Experience in the service and repair of large, automated saws and presses is advantageous.
- Tools of the trade provided (Mobile phone, Laptop, and plus essential mechanical tools)
- Fully Maintained company vehicle - Ford Ranger dual cab
- Delivering the preventative maintenance program as agreed with each customer
- Provide mechanical service including accurate and timely diagnosis and repair of machine breakdowns

Serviced works covers the following areas of scope;
- Mechanical diagnostics and component replacement and repair
- Hydraulic service and repair
- Basic Electrical service and repair

The types of equipment being worked on include but not limited to, Automated Saw's jigging systems and table presses

**Responsibilities**:
Provide mechanical service including accurate and timely diagnosis and repair of machine breakdowns;
Delivering the preventative maintenance program as agreed with each customer;
- Deliver or oversee and inspect PMP activities assuring they are in accordance with the planned schedule and quality standards.
- Accurately diagnose and document the root cause of machine faults and breakdowns and recommending repairs, including the specification of required parts and service time to undertake repairs to achieve repair performance within established acceptable quality and time standards.
- Provide Pryda fabricators' comprehensive technical support for timber fabrication equipment, responding to customer issues and pain points with innovative solutions to ensure optimum manufacturing efficiency levels.
- Complete equipment service requirements with consideration of preventative maintenance, safety, and end of life (EOL).
- Provide Remote support to various frame and truss business's across ANZ

**To be successful in this role you will have: -**
- Relevant engineering / trade / software qualification
- Demonstrated experience in a similar engineering / manufacturing equipment service role
- Excellent computer skills with a strong knowledge of Microsoft and TeamViewer
- Proven ability to network and build strong professional relationships
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including an ability to present to people
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly, both verbal and in written form
- Demonstrated drive, passion and commitment to achieve results
- Natural ability to plan showing good attention to detail, organise and follow through
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a changing environment
- Some regional and interstate travel is required for this role.
