Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer Technician to join our team. This is a full-time position that involves completing hands-on activities such as fabricating, assembling, erecting, testing, maintaining, and repairing equipment and components in line with industry best practices, company standards, policies, and procedures.

About the Role

This role requires strong communication and time management skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will be responsible for leading small teams or groups and training new members of the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabricate, assemble, erect, test, maintain, and repair equipment and components
  • Lead small teams or groups
  • Train new members of the team
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance and repair strategies

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An associate degree in mechanical engineering technology (MIT) or similar
  • A minimum of two years' experience as a mechanical technician in a related industry
  • Extensive knowledge of mechanical engineering designs, installations, maintenance, and repairs
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Advance knowledge in animal husbandry, animal welfare, and legislation, dairy production, and OH&S
  • Knowledge in computer programs/software is an advantage

Benefits

This is a comprehensive salary package from $76,515 pa (plus superannuation). The position may involve weekend work and some unplanned hours of work where the need arises.
