About the Role:
As the Manager, you will:
Manage the operations of the Home Education Unit and implement principles of best practice regulation as applicable to the registration of home education students in Queensland.
Exercise original thinking, creativity and significant levels of independent judgement to plan, organise, direct and determine goals and priorities for regulation of home education registrations.

Responsibilities Include, but not limited to:
Manage and provide leadership to a team with key responsibilities for regulation of home education registrations in Queensland.
Undertaking, monitoring and reviewing complex regulatory activities, making recommendations and decisions relevant to home education, in accordance with the principles of good administrative decision making.
Instigating and managing operational policy, procedure and process initiatives to support continuous quality improvement in efficient and effective regulatory decision-making practice, in line with risk-based regulatory frameworks.
Contributing to the development of innovative and strategic solutions which achieve high performance regulatory outcomes to ensure credible, accountable and transparent educational regulatory practice.
Building and sustaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and implement strategies to develop, support and demonstrate productive team collaboration.
Providing expert advice that is consistent, accurate and timely to support senior officers, the Minister, Director-General, Registration Services Leadership team, external stakeholders and the general public and overseeing and preparing responses to Parliamentary Questions, cabinet documents, reports to government, ministerial briefing notes and correspondence.
Building capacity, guiding and supporting team members to ensure delivery of effective regulatory practice.
