**Training Specialist**

**Position Summary**:
Planning, implementing and delivery of training programs, which ensures employees are adequately trained on an operational, technical and legislative viewpoint. Working with the broader Professional Development teams to plan, create, conduct, direct and evaluate appropriate training courses to fulfil skill and capability gaps that may exist across the business.

**In **this role, you will be responsible for**:
**Training Delivery**;
- Determine specific training gaps and future needs based on training needs analysis and collaboration with key stakeholders Development of training programs, ensuring the material is current, accurate, sufficient and relevant to colleague needs and business requirements.
- Implementation of scheme, technical & capability training as part of new colleague induction program in addition to refresher training to existing colleagues, via a varied selection of channels including classroom and virtual, and either group or individual based.
- Prepare and maintain employee knowledge assessments to determine understanding and support evaluation and reporting requirements.
- Prepare new or revise existing training programs including the selection of appropriate instructional procedures or methods such as demonstrations, simulation exercises and computer-based training.
- Create and maintain online knowledge base and scheme reference material.
- Conduct Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation of training requirements to support organizational and operational change initiatives resulting from projects.

**Role Based Development Framework;**
- Working in collaboration with all stakeholders on identification of organizational skills/capability gaps, and development of relevant trainings plans/resources (Role Based Development Plan(s). Development and maintenance of an organizational skill/capability register.
- Ongoing analysis and audit of tools to ensure relevance in collaboration with all stakeholders.

**Administrative Tasks**;
- Design and Development of training programs in the Learning Management System and Confluence Learning Knowledge Base, including associated training resources, reference libraries and other learning materials.
- Maintenance of training programs and associated resources to ensure validity and currency of the content.
- Identify and implement ways to streamline learning deliverables and programs from a continuous improvement lens and based on testing and evaluation of training practices Monitor and support Team Managers with RG146 Licensing accreditation and Continuous Professional Development programs.
- Monitor Capability Training Mailbox and respond to enquiries.

**We would like you to have**:
**Education;**
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, or recognised vocational training accreditation and proven experience in developing and conducting training programs would be highly regarded.

**Experience;**
- Extensive superannuation industry knowledge.

**Knowledge and skills (general and technical);**
- Genuinely engaged and interested in training others, including a desire to develop further skills as a trainer.
- Knowledge of Financial Services reform act as it relates to training of staff.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to lead and influence trainees in a training situation.
- High level oral and written communication skills.
- Flexible thinking and problem solving ability.

**Other requirements (licenses, certifications, specialized training);**
- Currently hold RG146 certification and/or capacity to attain and retain on a continuing basis.
