Tanunda Pines Golf Club is one of the oldest golf clubs in the Northern region, located adjacent to the Novotel Barossa Valley Resort in the heart of the Barossa Valley, just one hour's drive from Adelaide.

We are seeking a passionate and customer-focused individual to join our team as a full-time/casual retail golf shop staff. In this role, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service to our golfers, ensuring a positive and memorable experience for all.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Greet and assist customers, answering phone calls and booking.
- Assisting customers in understanding the features, benefits, and technical specifications of golf equipment and apparel.
- Arranging and displaying products in an attractive and organised manner while maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the shop.
- Work with the team to monitor and manage inventory levels (stock-take, check the accuracy of incoming shipping and update the system).
- Daily retrieval, cleaning/washing, and storage of motorized buggies.
- Picking up range balls when necessary.
- Cleaning of demo and hiring clubs.
- Assisting customers in selecting golf clubs, and recommend products based on customers' needs, skill levels, and budgets.
- Process customer purchases efficiently and accurately including point-of-sale operations and cash handling.
- Assist the team with basic repairs and maintenance on golf clubs.
- Assist the team in scheduling tee times and managing golf course bookings.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanour, fostering a welcoming atmosphere for all customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager/Management.

- Excellent customer service skills and a genuine desire to help others.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of golf equipment, apparel, and accessories.
- Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems and other relevant software.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations.
- Basic knowledge of retail golf operations is preferred.
- Flexibility is required with working hours and weekend work will apply.
- Golf knowledge or PGA qualification is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift and carry boxes and merchandise (e.g., golf clubs).
