Experience it here.Your responsibilities will include:Co-ordinate a program of activities to develop deep understanding of Australian Industry Capability relative to the capabilities required for sovereign manufacturing of guided weaponsPartner with suppliers and subject matter experts to evaluate capabilities, production requirements, and supply dependenciesCollaborate with suppliers to understand economic order quantities and other dependencies that would be enablers for capability establishmentContribute to GWEO Industry Development strategies and plansLead incubation, uplift, and demonstrator initiatives to accelerate industry readinessDevelop strong relationships with suppliers, the Commonwealth, and wider industry stakeholdersIdentify risks, opportunities, and cross-industry collaborations to expand sovereign capabilitiesPrepare high quality business cases, capability reports and other material to support industry investment decisionsAbout you:Significant experience across supply chain management, industrial development, procurement and contractingStrong background in supplier capability development and performance improvementProven track record delivering outcomes within complex projects and programsWorking knowledge of production planning, quality management systems, and associated processesBroad understanding of defence-related technologies and Defence Industry Policy, including ADEFCON requirementsExperienced in preparing investment business cases and reports for government stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to develop new supply chains to support manufacturing capabilities and productsFamiliarity with Australian suppliers and their associated capabilitiesStrong communication and active listening skills, collaboration and cooperation, flexibility and adaptability, accountability and a positive attitudeSpecial Requirements:Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance and employment may be contingent on the provision of further personal information including citizenship to ensure compliance with international export control legislation and regulations.
