Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead the development of industry capabilities within our organisation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating activities to establish domestic manufacture of guided weapons, explosive ordnance, and munitions. This role will ensure long-term resilience and self-reliance in supply chain management.

About The Role
  • Co-ordinate activities to develop deep understanding of Australian Industry Capability relative to sovereign manufacturing requirements.
  • Partner with suppliers and subject matter experts to evaluate capabilities, production requirements, and supply dependencies.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to understand economic order quantities and other dependencies for capability establishment.
  • Contribute to strategies and plans for industry development.
  • Lead initiatives to accelerate industry readiness.
  • Develop strong relationships with suppliers, stakeholders and government agencies.
  • Identify risks, opportunities and cross-industry collaborations to expand sovereign capabilities.
  • Prepare high-quality reports and material to support investment decisions.
Your Qualifications
  • Significant experience in supply chain management, industrial development, procurement and contracting.
  • Strong background in supplier capability development and performance improvement.
  • Proven track record delivering outcomes within complex projects and programs.
  • Broad understanding of defence-related technologies and Defence Industry Policy.
  • Familiarity with Australian suppliers and their associated capabilities.
Requirements

The successful candidate must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
