**The opportunity**

We are seeking an experienced and highly capable **Permit to Work Supervisor,** responsible for the safe development, implementation and upkeep of the Karara Processing plant isolation and tagging system.

The PTW Supervisor is accountable for providing a timely response to breakdown tasks as assigned by the Production Superintendent to ensure equipment is back online.

To be considered for this role, applicants must have a strong background in process operations and have held a previous leadership role in the mining / heavy industry.

Working on a Full-time **8 days on and 6 days off** roster, FIFO from Perth or DIDO from Geraldton.

**To be successful in the role, the following is essential**:

- Demonstrated experience in leadership roles within the mining industry (Supervisory/Team Lead roles)
- Extensive experience with permit systems
- Proven knowledge and understanding of hazards working in a processing operation environment
- Strong understanding of mineral processing
- WA 'C' 'Class Drivers Licence
- Schedule 26 Appointed Persons
- Experience using all programs within the Microsoft Office Suite
- National Police clearance
- **Experience using SCADA Software (Control Room System) will be highly regarded**

**Key Duties**;
- Ensuring that the Isolation and Tagging Procedure is adhered to by all personnel
- Conduct training of other personnel in the Isolation and Tagging Process
- Regular scheduled auditing of the systems and processes
- Recording of permit times to ensure accuracy and adherence to plans and schedules
- Responsible for documentation and library control to meet statutory requirements
- Escalate any production related issues as required to the Production Supervisor, Production Coordinator or Production Superintendent for further action or assistance
- Leading a team of Isolation Officers including the delegation of tasks and responsibilities
- Maintain the Isolation and Tagging systems and procedures
- Maintain all isolation hardware and consumables
- Management of isolation requirements associated with;-
- Weekly planned preventative maintenance schedules
- Plan modular shutdowns and crusher shutdowns
- Major Plant Outage isolation planning
- Assisting operations and maintenance as required

**About Karara Mining**

Located 200 km south-east of Geraldton in the Shire of Perenjori, Western Australia Karara has an expected mine life of 30+ years. The operation includes a large open pit mine, complex ore processing and beneficiation plant and significant infrastructure and logistics networks. As part of the logistics network Karara owns and operates 80km of railway between Tilley Junction and the Karara mine site, linking the Karara Export Terminal at the Port of Geraldton, able to handle up to 16 Mtpa of export product from a dedicated berth, with associated rail and train unloading infrastructure.
