Compliance and governance officer needed to join a state government department initailly on a temporary basis

A State Government Department is looking for an Compliance and Governance Officer to join their team. This role requires you to work full-time hours, on an initial temporary basis.

**Your new role**

As an experienced a Compliance and Governance Officer your daily duties will include but won't be limited to:

- Contribute to the delivery of activities in relation to the mental awareness, respect and safety program
- Participate in the development, implementation and improvement of the mental awareness, respect and safety program risk and compliance management policies, practices and frameworks and its supporting risk systems
- Undertake audits and risk reviews regarding the mental awareness, respect and safety program
- Funding agreements for initiatives currently in place
- Reporting on compliance within the governance obligations
- Contribute to the overall strategic and operational planning of the mental awareness, respect and safety program
- Other duties as required

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Experience in conducting compliance audits and risk reviews.
- Demonstrate good written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with a diverse audience.
- Demonstrate good analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to identify areas of improvement.
- Demonstrate good knowledge and understanding of risk management and audit principles and standards.
