Governance and Compliance Specialist

Our ideal candidate is a Governance and Compliance Specialist who will provide high-quality advice and support to the City, Council, and Community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic governance advice and support to ensure compliance with organisational requirements.
  • Ensure accurate production of meeting documentation, including Agendas and Minutes.
  • Support the Council Minute Officer at Council and Committee meetings.
  • Coordinate eMeetings, including Council Agenda Briefings and Elected Member Strategic Briefings.
  • Monitor and coordinate the compliance calendar in line with legislation and City functions.
  • Oversee the administration of policies, delegated authorities, and statutory registers.
  • Stay up-to-date with legislative changes and prepare highlight reports for Council.
  • Coordinate the annual returns process and issue primary returns as required.
  • Manage and co-ordinate financial interest disclosures, gifts, contributions, and standard panel findings.
