**YOUR OPPORTUNITY**

We are seeking an experienced, well connected and enthusiastic **Indigenous Affairs Leader** to join our team

In this leadership position, you'll be responsible for working with the relevant WIS businesses (Blackwoods, Bullivants, WorkWear Group, Cm3 and Coregas) to advance diversity and inclusion strategies specifically related to building on our strong First Nations program including the recruitment, retention and development of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander team members.

As a founding member of Supply Nation, you'll also facilitate engagement of First Nations owned contractors, service providers and product supplier and will manage cultural awareness, competency and community engagement objectives as we continue to educate and support all team members, and ensure a culturally safe work environment.

Your key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

- Awareness of national, regional and local employment programs and potential partners to enable continued growth
- Extend and manage the Indigenous School Based Traineeship, Internship, Graduate and Cadetship programs
- Ability to identify barriers to employment and possess the ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people and organisations
- A sound understanding of the benefits of supplier diversity, the Indigenous procurement policy, first & second tier supplier programs and collaborate across WIS businesses
- Responsible for monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual reporting at business, divisional and WIS level across employment, procurement and community engagement

To be successful, you will have:

- Proven professional and lived experience, with knowledge and understanding of Indigenous history, heritage and culture
- Strong understanding of Indigenous employment and associated programs
- Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders and strong project management skills
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, including an ability to positively influence key stakeholders
- Experience in reporting and presentation skills for external recruitment activities and internal training
- A results orientated, customer focused approach to your work and previous leadership and people related experience
- Exposure to Indigenous mental health support and training and formal cultural awareness training
- Have a current Working with Children Check
