We need resilient, driven, reliable, independent and passionate people to join the Virgin Australia Network Control team.
It's a challenging role with a lot of responsibilities in a fast-paced operational environment.
Network Controllers keep all the cogs turning to ensure we maintain and deliver a safe and on time flight schedule by working hand in hand with multiple teams in the Integrated Operations Centre and frontline operational teams across the network.
Responsibilities
Co-ordinate all requirements to facilitate safe and efficient RPT and Charter flight schedule operations.
Effectively and professionally communicate and engage with stakeholders at all levels, including executive and senior leadership teams.
Make strategic, well planned and fact-based decisions under pressure.
Execute adequate and appropriate response to OTP threats.
Operate various operations and communication specific systems and associated processes.
Coordinate responses to medical/ other emergencies, operational issues, schedule disruptions and disruption recovery.
Ensure the best commercial and operational results are achieved with a critical focus on safety and ultimate customer experience outcomes.
Please note: This is a 12-month maximum term contract
What you need to be successful
Be a self-starter.
Understanding of centralised control systems.
Demonstrated understanding of airline operations or similar operations control experience.
Ability to work under pressure in an ever-changing environment.
Comfortable and confident in a collaborative, fast paced team environment.
Strong social skills encompassing the ability to manage relationships, communicate effectively, and inspire and influence others.
Exceptional communication, problem solving and organisational skills.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Can work a 24/7 rotating shift roster (including early starts, late finishes, weekends, and public holidays)
Legally able to live and work in Australia.
