Job Overview

The role of a Technical Consultant involves supporting the sales team in delivering complex real-time control systems to customers. The focus is on working within the Grid Automation team, leveraging previous experience and knowledge of the power utilities sector.

This position requires close collaboration with the sales team end-to-end through proactive sales activities, tendering, negotiations, and closed deals. The technical solutions will be led by the successful candidate, who will also support technical engineers and subject matter experts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and assist the sales team on all pre-sales technical aspects to grow the business for Network Control in Asia Pacific.
  • Work operationally in Presales activities while working closely with Sales Managers, Proposal team, Product Management to promote the technical solutions to customers.
  • Proactively prepare the market and participate in bids activities with the sales team.
  • Lead the technical solutions in collaboration with Proposal managers as well as the sales organization.
  • Act as our customers' technical trusted advisor during the sales cycle.
  • Be responsible for designing the technical solution strategy of our offering and demonstrating Network Control products.
Requirements
  • Bachelor or higher in Electrical Engineering or similar, preferably in the Power Systems field.
  • Experience with an electric utility vendor or provider.
  • Possess general understanding of the various methods of organizing and regulating electricity industries specially in APAC region.
  • Confidence in preparing and delivering solutions both written and in presentation form.
  • The ability to make the complex simple and show creativity in your approach to problem-solving.
