As the flagship hotel for the Mercure brand within Australia we invite you to belong to something bigger. We are a big hotel, looking for some big talent With 517 newly refurbished rooms, 9 conference rooms, and multiple food and beverage outlets, Mercure Sydney is on the look out for a storeperson. We are and will continue to be, ANYTHING BUT NORMAL.

**Job Description**:

- Responsible for sales & management of all group bookings of 10 rooms or more
- Management of PCO group blocks relating to inventory, payment & group setup
- Ensure a prompt input of reservations and data for all group enquiries & bookings
- Preparation of group information sheets (group movements) and briefing of Hotel stakeholders prior to arrival of group
- Manage Hotel inventory in relation to group reservations and monitor potential wash of business

**Qualifications**:

- 1-2 years of experience in a Front Office or Reservations role
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office & Opera
- Service oriented with an eye for detail
- Ability to work independently and demonstrated initiative in a dynamic environment
- Self-motivated and energetic with a strong focus & passion for hotel operations
- Confident and articulate communication, negotiation, relationship and networking skills
