**The core capability requirements for this role are**:

- Lead, develop and enable a team of communication and engagement practitioners to deliver effective strategies to support DFV & DNA reform initiatives.
- Manage and respond to inquiries from the Special Coordinator, Government and media relating to the implementation of recommendations from commissions of inquiry and reports.
- Provide timely strategic and integrated advice to senior management on communication and engagement approaches and methodologies.
- Build and maintain productive working relationships and networks with key stakeholders to promote successful adoption of communication initiatives within the QPS.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and relevant specialists to develop and facilitate effective communication channels to promote the successful implementation of change within the business.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of communication implementation metrics including business readiness targets, business engagement and deployment activities.
- Promote an uplift of communication capability by facilitating opportunities for learning and consideration of future skills required to deliver communication and change programs, enabling increased capability and agility across the QPS.
