**Accountabilities include**:

- Lead a team of communication and community engagement professionals to research, develop, implement and report on effective strategies that engage the community about new and existing public transport initiatives and projects across Queensland.
- Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders including service providers, members of the public and different levels of government to ensure that Translink is achieving its goals.
- Develop the strategy and annual operational plan for the Communications team and driving its implementation to agreed timeframes, including reporting and budget management.
- Support the Director (Marketing and Communication) and Executive Director (Customer Solutions), key projects teams within TMR, and manage and lead a team of communications professionals to deliver program and project outcomes outlined in the Translink Division Strategic Plan and team operational plan.
- Provide high level strategic communication advice, recommendations and options to the Director (Marketing and Communications), Executive Director (Customer Solutions) and other senior officers on issues relating to customer engagement and communications across Queensland.
- Leadership and people management including the management of recruitment, performance, development, team communication, and ensuring a safe and diverse work environment
- Management functions including business planning, financial management, governance and other responsibilities as legislated in the Public Service Act 2008 to ensure delivery of a responsive, effective and efficient services to the community and the Government.
- Other accountabilities and tasks as reasonably directed.
