Senior Software Engineer Position
At Riot, we put our players first. Our team collaborates globally to develop innovative game features and technology on an exciting Unpublished R&D Project.
As a Software Engineer II, you will contribute to the development of foundational systems and features that power a new gameplay experience. You'll work in a cross-functional team alongside producers, designers, and other engineers, helping define and deliver scalable, performant, and tailored solutions for both internal developer workflows and engaging player experiences.
Responsibilities:
Uphold a high standard of engineering excellence
Design, build, and maintain software systems with a focus on quality, reliability, and maintainability
Collaborate with designers, producers, and other engineers to scope, implement, and test features
Participate in code reviews, write unit/integration tests, and contribute to continuous improvement of team practices
Debug and resolve issues in live environments and development pipelines
Write clear documentation and communicate technical details across disciplines
Learn and contribute to shared libraries, tools, and platforms used across the project
Required Skills and Qualifications:
3+ years experience in professional software development
Professional experience and proficiency with C++
Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, concurrency, etc.)
Experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating across disciplines
