**Client**
Our client is a multi-branded Australian farming, food processing and manufacturing business specialising in pre-prepared vegetables, fresh salads, ready-made meals, snacks, and innovative on-the-go food products. The business is in a dynamic stage of growth, driven by an active acquisition strategy and inherent expansion and efficiency gains. They now need to appoint a new Farm Manager for their horticulture operation based in Tasmania.

**Role**
The role of Farm Manager is a pivotal and senior role within the business, reporting directly to the General Manager. The purpose is to lead the ongoing development of the Farm including the daily planning, organisation, supervision, people management, KPIs and administration activities. Key responsibilities are:

- Manage Farm operations by ensuring teams are working collaboratively to meet production plans and schedules.
- Manage the farm to financial budgets and established KPI'S.
- Provide training, supervision, mentoring and leadership to Team Leaders and the broader farm team.
- Establish and maintain crop schedules to ensure optimised farm production.
- Ensure the steps to successful crop, growth and harvest are met.
- Ensure sustainable farming practices are developed and used to ensure continued successful crop production
- Participate in the formulation of a farm strategic plan.
- Build team skills through coaching, cross-skilling, training and developing staff so the team has the right skills to perform their roles.
- Report and action deviations from specification including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Maintain safe systems of work including supervision, training, risk management and continuous improvement.

**Requirements**:

- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a culturally diverse team.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.
- Strong agronomic experience would be highly beneficial.
- Ability to develop and implement operations plans, budgets, and strategies.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of safety and health regulations and protocols.
- Ability to monitor staff performance and provide feedback and support where necessary.

**Remuneration and Location**
There is an excellent remuneration package on offer for this senior role, including base salary, superannuation, and car. The role is based near Hobart in Tasmania.
