Huon is looking for a motivated Farm Attendant who enjoys working on the water to join their Lighting and Electrical team at Port Huon on a 7 days on, 7 days off roster.

The role

Working in a small team of 3, this role is predominately based on the water. You will:

  • Install and remove equipment used in the lighting program.
  • Inspect, repair, and maintain lighting equipment, ropes, buoys and cable conduit.
  • Engage in pressure washing of lights, cables, and ropes during the maintenance phase of the program.
  • Respond to light outages efficiently and in a timely manner.

This exciting opportunity is full-time, operating on a 7 on, 7 off roster working Wednesday to Tuesday each fortnight.

About you

You will have:

  • Strong time management skills and the willingness to learn new skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a small team.
  • Strong ability to adapt, deal with uncertainty, and remain calm in a changing environment.
  • Underwater lighting experience or an Aquaculture background would be viewed favourably.
  • Coxswain and Forklift Ticket desirable
