This is a twelve (12) month fixed term, full-time position commencing ASAP with possible extension
The North Metropolitan Education Region supports the Department's priorities in Western Australia and commits to delivering, through schools and services, a full and engaging standard of public education, supportive of students, teachers and parents. The North Metropolitan Education Region comprises more than 250 public schools across the north metropolitan area from Cottesloe to Lancelin and east to Wooroloo.
Across the State, education regional offices are responsible for supporting schools in the metropolitan and rural areas by promoting system initiatives, providing support and quality assurance and ensuring consistency in the implementation of policies and procedures to enhance the outcomes of schooling. Education regional offices are also required to ensure that each school within their area of responsibility complies with the relevant legislation and policies.
The Role
As the Engagement and Transitions Manager, you will provide leadership, support and advice to the Senior Participation Coordinators and Participation and Engagement Coordinators in the region.
The Engagement and Transitions Manager provides support and advice to ensure the development and implementation of strategic directions to maximise transition services across the region and schools. They provide support and advice in the development and establishment of the region's and schools' career and transition plans and programs.
If successful, you will facilitate links between schools, State Training Providers, Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), Education Regional Office and the Department in implementing policy and key initiatives. You will assist schools to develop quality and innovative secondary pathways programs and to support and critically analyse such developments through evidence-based data collection.
