Period of Appointment Fixed-term, up to 4 March 2027 Location Rosny, Launceston or Burnie Hours per fortnight 73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.
Duties Provide strategic support to the Executive Director on operational policy development.
Effectively manage major policy and legislative projects relevant to WorkSafe Tasmania's jurisdiction, ensuring the achievement of key Government and Divisional strategic objectives.
Provide effective leadership to ensure projects are developed and delivered in the best interests of the State and in line with Government Policy.
Undertake the day to day management of multiple complex projects, especially in relation to work health and safety and other specialist areas, ensuring project deadlines are met.
Undertake high level consultation and negotiation with stakeholders, other jurisdictions, Agencies, Branches and Divisions.
Develop high-level policy advice to Government on specialist matters relevant to WorkSafe Tasmania's functions and activities, including advice on relevant State and National issues.
Prepare high level reports and briefings for the information and decision of the Minister, Secretary and other relevant persons in regard to policy and legislation, including the review of legislation.
Represent the Regulator on committees, working groups and other forums at both state and national level.
Desirable Requirements Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
Driver licence.
