We are seeking a passionate and experienced centre director to lead our brand-new, purpose-built early learning centre. This role involves setting up a new service from scratch—shaping the culture, building a high-performing team, and creating a warm, inclusive, and high-quality environment where children, families, and educators thrive.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in establishing a new centre, including team recruitment, policy implementation, and community engagement. You will drive the delivery of high-quality early learning programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Framework (NQS).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the setup and establishment of a new centre, including team recruitment and policy implementation
  • Drive the delivery of high-quality early learning programs
  • Inspire, motivate, and lead a passionate team of educators through strong, values-driven leadership
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, reflective practice, and ongoing professional development
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and support the wellbeing, learning, and safety of every child in your care

Requirements:

  • A practical understanding of the EYLF and NQS
  • Proven leadership experience in early childhood education and care
  • Minimum Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or Early Childhood Teaching Degree
  • A demonstrated commitment to professional growth, reflective practice, and team development
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust, communicate effectively, and foster positive relationships with staff, families, and the wider community
  • Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration
