**The Role**

The purpose of the role is to uniquely contribute to a newly formed team responsible for the analysis of analysis of various pricing matters and remediation calculations and various pricing matters for Direct Insurance Australia (DIA) and Intermediated Insurance Australia (IIA) Departments.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Support the investigations into aspects of potential pricing matters which might require remediation for DIA and IIA by conducting analysis and drawing insights using pricing and customer policy data
- Assist the team with making recommendations to management in conjunction with other stakeholders as to whether remediation payments are required under various events based on remediation principles
- Work collaboratively with other stakeholders across DIA and IIA to understand products and pricing methodologies to support mitigation activities
- For matters where remediation might be deemed necessary, support the data analysis process to scope impacted parties to be remediated and amounts payable
- Build and review models as necessary to calculate remediation payments
- Coach and support analysts in the timely delivery of the remediation calculations
- Assist other teams in the communication and distribution of any remediation amounts

**Skills & Experience**
- Actuarial or similar background with up to 5 years experience in general insurance
- SAS and Excel experience
- Pricing or underwriting experience (Ideal)
- Quality focused
- Adherence to compliance obligations
- Tertiary qualification/s in business, finance, risk or related fields
