Lead Quality Assurance and Calculations

The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing a quality assurance framework that operates as a key control in our delivery process. This framework will ensure accurate identification of impacted customers and products, with correct exclusions applied.

A baseline methodology for financial compensation calculations for remediation will be created, providing guidance on different impact scenarios and products. Collaboration with second or third line of defence teams will develop calculation approaches for remediation when necessary.

Candidates will coach and mentor Data Analysts and Remediation Analysts on quality assurance activities and calculation processes. Data outputs produced by the team will be analysed to ensure accuracy.

Delivery errors or defects identified will lead to strengthened underlying processes and controls to prevent repetition.

Senior members of the Customer Remediations team will assist in drafting and submitting financial provisioning papers, ensuring they are supported by evidence and rationale.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Financial Mathematics and IT/Computer Science
  • 5+ years' experience in banking and financial services industry, with prior experience in remediation data analysis and compensation calculations
  • Experience in drafting quality assurance and calculation methodology papers and financial provisioning papers
  • Experience working with stakeholders including Finance, Legal, Risk, Data, Audit
  • In-depth consumer banking product knowledge
